New land and partnerships manager appointed as Lovell ramps up residential developments in South Wales
Cardiff partnership homes developer Lovell has appointed Patrick Jenkins as land and partnerships manager.
He will lead on land acquisition across South Wales as Lovell – based locally at the Greenmeadow Springs business park, Tongwynlais - ramps up its new-build residential activity in the region.
Joining the company from David Wilson Homes South West where he was senior land manager, Patrick brings to Lovell 25 years of experience working in land acquisition and strategic land promotion with housebuilders in South Wales and the South West. He has previously also held senior land roles with Bellway Homes and Persimmon Homes. Patrick is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Lovell regional managing director Kate Rees says: “Patrick’s arrival further boosts our already strong South Wales senior team. He has impressive experience of acquiring land and bringing forward sites for development across the region and will play a leading role as we continue to step up new-build housing activity in South Wales and the South West of England.” Lovell expects to build more than 380 homes in the region during 2018.
High-profile Lovell developments in South Wales include The Mill, one of Wales’ largest regeneration programmes, which is transforming a former paper mill site in Canton, West Cardiff, with 800 new homes. Other large-scale projects in the region include Oakfield Grange, which is creating 78 new two-, three- and four-bedroom homes in the heart of Cwmbran. The company will start work later this year on a £25 million development set to bring 153 homes to the former Merthyr Vale colliery site near Merthyr Tydfil.
